Publicity campaigns
Over the years, the various publicity campaigns and promotions launched by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) have defined a line which has provided with brand with distinction.
All of these images are part of the firm's visual heritage.
The first TV ad was presented in September of 1987.A snail crossing a path painted in white was the promotional image, which, with the passing of time, has not been forgotten. "La via blanca" meaning the "white path" was the general name of the publicity campaign.
Over the years, "La via blanca" gave way to other phrases and commercial slogans to illustrate the many advertisements:
"El cotxe de l'any" (The car of the Year) (1989), "Bicitren" (Bike-train) (1990), "Animals domèstics" (Domestic Animals) (1990), "Nusos i Embut" (Congestion and Traffic Jams) (1990), "Si vostè fuma, tothom fuma" (If you smoke, we all smoke!) (1990), "Tractament antiestrès" (Anti-stress Treatment) (1991), "Fes el millor temps amb els transports públics" (Timing is Best with Public Transport) (1992), "Igualadabarcelona" (From Igualada to Barcelona) (1992), "De porta a porta. De Sant Boi a Barcelona per la via més rodona" (From door to door, from Sant Boi to Barcelona is the Best Route) (1993), "Vine a fer història amb els trens que han fet història" (Take Part in History aboard Historic Trains) (1994), "Funibici" (Funicular-bike) (1994), "Puja i baixa a tot tren" (Up and Down by Train) (1994), "Per unes festes sense embuts" (A festival without Traffic Jams) (1995), "Et portem de porta a porta a la UAB" (We'll drive you from your doorstep to the UAB University gate) (1996), "Metro del Vallès" (El Vallés Underground) (1996), "Jazz que fa via" (Jazz on Rails) (1996), "Metro del Baix Llobregat" (Baix Llobregat Underground) (1999), "Canvi de nomenclatures" (Change of Names) (2003), "Campanya cívica" (Civic Campaign) (2003) and "25 anys portant-te endavant" (Serving your transport need for 25 years) (2004).
