Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), in addition to being a railway operator, offers its potential, resources and knowledge to carry out other projects and commercial activities.

Among these activities the following should be mentioned:

Fibre-optics, is something that is being consolidated within the operators of the telecommunications market, especially major infrastructure and telecommunications operators. FGC has laid fibre-optics along the whole railway Network

Commercial units within the FGC facilities have been rented to improve customer service. Kiosks, restaurants, sweet shops, bicycle hire and all sorts of other types of stalls can be installed. The installation of phone booths, automatic cash machines and self-service machines can also be installed. Other areas can be rented on a temporary basis for such things as ceremonies, meetings and conventions.

FGC also offers the possibility of using the train, both its exterior and interior, for advertising and offers locations and trains for films.
