Among the projects of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) foreseen by the Metropolitan Transport Authority's 2001-2010 Infrastructures Master Plan (PDI), are:
Extension of the Terrassa underground line, including three new stations (currently being executed), and the Sabadell underground line, also including three more stations.
The ATM has also begun the project to extend FGC's Baix Llobregat line, generating a link from Barcelona-Pl. Espanya to Francesc Macià and a further connection to Gràcia on the Vallès line. Also, the new envisaged underground lines: L9 (Badalona-El Prat de Llobregat) and L12 (Castelldefels-Sant Boi-Barceloa) will have connections to FGC stations.
